Alliance Aircraft is close to lauching a new line of Regional Jets, the Starliner 70 & 90. They allready have LOI's for 30 planes and intend to have about 100 by July when the plane will be lauched. They are allready studying a 30 and 50 seater plane.

They plan to break even at 100 planes only. Of the the $660 million needed to develop the aircraft, $250 million was coming from private investors and $170 million from risk-sharing partners who would help build the plane. The rest would be provided by suppliers keen to get their products, such as engines, on the plane!

What do you think?

Are there any details/diagrams/etc anywhere? Sounds great, but for a company pushing a brand new plane, they sure don't put out much info. There website is basically devoid of any useful information. I really want to see something more!

There was a diagram in Flight Internatioanl a few months ago. It basically looks like a Fairchild 728 with more character!
