Hello everyone,
I've got a question concerning the Condor service from FRA to RSW.
A friend of mine is booked on flight DE 4058, dep. 2:30pm, arr. 7:30pm. This would result in a total flight time of 11 hrs.
However, the return flight (DE 7059) is scheduled to be 9:05 hrs.
Can anyone explain the reasons for this difference in flight time to me?
I called Condor reservations but they couldn't help me at all. Is there a stop on the first flight?
Thank you for your help!

Its rather simple really, The eastbound flights have tail winds so the flight
time is shorter. Conversly, the west bound flight is against the wind, hence the longer flight

But are those really that strong that it can add up to almost two hours??

In addition: the flight to MCO takes only 9:35 h - why is RSW so much longer?

Actual flight times for this route are:

FRA - RSW Average 9:50
RSW - FRA Average 8:50

Yes, the winds do make a difference of one hour - could be anything up to 100 kts groundspeed difference.

Not sure if you calculated local times correctly for the 11 hrs, but it doesn't take that long.

Add to the wind that the westbound flights fly another route. The flights from America to Europe go directly over the atlantic, while the westbound flights usually go over Greenland... So I think they are a little bit longer, as well. The reason is that the jetstreams are weaker in the north...

When I flew FRA-HAV, the flight to HAV took 10.30hours, while the flight back took only 9.30hours. If winds are stronger, the difference can be greater...
