Dear YUL spotters.
Did someone have seen the same as I do? 3 weeks ago I saw a AA 767 going for 24R at around 17:00 and 2 days ago I thought I've saw a UAL fokker(?) going for 24L. Did i've just dreamed or someone elese have seen them? If you have more infos like their point of depature and the frenquency they come visit us it would be great.

Thanks

Nicolas

As I have no idea about the traffic at YUL, I'm going out on a limb! The AA 767 is a very real possibility especially with the Jazz Festival occuring. The United Fokker is impossible. However US Airways has about 40 Fokker F100s, so that is probably what you saw.

Could the UA aircraft have been a CRJ being delivered to United Express? Considering UA doesn't serve YUL other than on AC codeshare, I doubt you'd see anything from UA other than new CRJ's.

I would imagine that the AA767 could have been a diversion of some sort. Over the past couple of years we have had a good 6 or more AA767's in on diversions. Whether it be mechanical or passenger problems. Although I could be wrong. The UA was probably a CRJ. There are a few of them around. I know there was one in full UA colours at Dorval about 2 weks ago. I could still be undergoing tests.

Thanks guys for your informations.
As you mentionned it could have really been a CRJ, since I was quite far from it and it was hard to distinguish.
Concerning the AA767 I hope it would not be a diversion, I'm dreaming of seeing this bird everyday at YUL, but I guess it's just a dream, anyways the sight of this shiny bird was one of the most awesome I've seen !!!

Last I heard AA was starting to use B737-800's into Dorval from ORD once a day for the next month or two. Starting this month sometime. The aircraft is supposed to arrive around 1pm. Then starting in the fall I think they plan on using the B737-800 on the YUL-MIA route. It arrives at YUL about 22:30 and departs the next morning quite early.

It will be nice to have anything other than the MD-80 and F100 aircraft.
