Flight 660 from Nashville to Oakland had a mechanical problem inflight and diverted to Denver. A friend of mine was onboard the flight. According to her, the captain said the aircraft was leaking fuel from one of the engines. They shut that engine down and headed for DEN. They are still there now. Last word was a plane was being flown in to take them on to OAK. Supposedly that plane will get to DEN around 6pm MST. I am not sure where the aircraft is coming from.

Not a big deal, but it may disrupt plans for those onboard. Good news is everyone should get to where they're going before it's time to ring in the new year!

Guess WN planes were so anxious to get to DEN they thought they'd like a head start!! Glad they made it safely.

I just talked to my friend who was on the flight and they finally made it to OAK at about 2015 PST. She was headed to Reno to ring in the New Year with us up here in Tahoe, but instead has changed her routing to LAS where we all live. I am sure she is ready to just hit the sack and sleep. What a long day!
