Skiing on Sapporo, or Niseko to be more precise seems to be flavour of the month (probably due to QF chairwoman's husband being involved in Niseko & QF overpromoting it ?), but getting there seems to be a pain.

You either fly Australian domestic to CNS & then AO nonstop to CTS, or

fly to NRT & then do a ground transfer to HND to get flight to CTS, which must take forever in Tokyo traffic or fly into KIX & overnight.

Of course there would be other ways like CX via HKG but that involves overnights from many cities in OZ.

Why don't JL do more domestci flights from NRT? There sems to be one late afternoon, that doesn't connect with flights from OZ.

Anyone shed any light on better options?

thanks but too many stop & change of carrier & expensive due to narrow body 738 (ie. not many cheap seats)
