An A320 skidded of the taxiway in Belgrade this morning. There are no injured among passengers or crew. There were 63 passengers and five crew on board flight LH 3409 bound to Frankfurt. Sorry, no links in English yet, only one in Serbian:

Its the low season... plus a dull Thursday. FRA is ususally quite busy.

Seriously, plane ended some 80 meters off the taxiway. The cause was probably ice, or too much partying.... German investigators will come to Belgrade today.

So, is the plane still in the mud besides the taxiway?

I saw this A320 this morning at 5 when I arrived from Tel Aviv on JU071. Odd thing it slipped of the taxiway just an hour later.

A very good thing is that nobody's injured.

As of 1700h loc D-AIPF was still in mud with lot of ground staff around. According to my handhald Air Band receiver TWY A is CLSD fm TWY D to TWY E.

So? That was some 3 months ago... In January/February there's always a "hole" in business, not only aviation...
In November, our sales were 30% more than we were expecting, but now in February we have to deal with about 45% less... That's the way it is  

Any news about the aircraft? Any major damages? Did it return to FRA already?

On TV yesterday, I think BK (bit I'm not 100% sure because I switched channels frequently to find out more on A320) said that passengers from that flight contacted them, so it sounded a bit weird.

And the TV station ( BK ) decided to call that a Near miss? Shame.

I fly on LH3409 often -- in fact I will be on Monday -- and most of the time passengers are groggy due to the early departure time, so I can imagine their surprise when the plane plowed into the field ...

Does anyone have an idea when the preliminary incident report will be done? In these circumstances, do the Serbian and German CAA's do a joint investigation or separate?

The Jat Media Center has stated that most of the passengers on the Lufthansa plane that skidded off of the taxiway today, flew to Frankfurt at 14.00 on JAT flight 350, of the Serbian national carrier.

The Airbus A320 of the German company Lufthansa with 63 passengers and 5 crew members slid off of the taxiway at the 'Belgrade' airport in the morning, about 6.30am close to the time of the departure of Belgrade-Frankfurt

In a double statement, Belgrade Airport and Lufthansa haven't found the reason for the incident, they only said that noone was injured, and there was no apparent damage to the aircraft.

Of course, my Serbian isn't the best in the world  

The information there sounded like a major alert. LH plane aborted landing in the last second, circling around, etc. In fact, if all they have were passengers' testimonies, that is understandable. Unprofessional, but understandable. After all, have you ever seen a decent information on anything related to civil aviation on any of the local TV channels?

As for the incident the other day, we should all blame Caravelle. Always sitting at the same place, confusing poor pilots.

As of Friday evening D-AIPF is still on LYBE, waiting to be serviced. It appears that some hydraulic pipes have been damaged. Consider this as an unofficial/unchecked information.
I am wondering what would be the procedure in case that DLH's B737-300 was damaged at LYBE? Would it be serviced by JAT technical department?
