Starting April 6th, TACA will start sending the new A321 to CCS (from LIM) instead of the daily A320 that we used to get. Congrats to TACA for their good results in the Venezuelan market.

Can't wait to see the A321 in Venezuelan soil!

I like the way the parrot is taking the C away from the name TACA. Had not noticed that before.

I must say this is great for Venezuela and for TA. I am glad that TA is having success in the LIM-CCS route. On the other hand, I must say I am a bit jealous that TA is not yet sending A321's to MEX from SJO or GUA. I am sure they could fill them up.

I have a question on TA. Now that they are going to start codesharing with UA, do you think they will consider applying to Star Alliance soon? Which other airlines in Latin America does TA codeshare with? TA used to codeshare with AM on the MEX-LIM route but AM dumped them for LA.

Quoting EddieDude (Reply 2):

AV fully codeshares with TA on its services from BOG to SJO, and onwards to SAL and GUA. None of these destinations are in conditions to support a dedicated flight by AV, so the codeshare comes in extremely convinient.

It's very nice to see additional capacity between LIM and CCS. There must be plenty of potential in the market waiting to be exploded.

Its nice to have a 321 in CCS. However, last year TACA was flying 11 weekly flights (319 and 320) between CCS and LIM. Now there are just 7 per week. Hopefully they will go back to 11 again later this year, because i flew about twice last year and flights were always full, especially people flying to Buenos Aires and Santiago.

Buenos Aires (EZE) will also be having an Airbus A321 flight from LIM in April. I think it must be the same aircraft doing EZE-LIM-CCS-LIM-EZE, only changing flight numbers and crew in LIM.

Also, Lacsa will do some EZE-LIM-SAL flights, without equipment change in LIM. I will look for more info and keep you posted.
