From what I've learned over past years, CO doesn't release any seats for the "Latin Holiday" market (basically anywhere in the Caribbean or Latin America at the end of December) until mid-May. We want to go to either Puerto Rico or Tobago, it has been pretty frustrating for my family to wait to book something on CO while any semblance of affordable fares are being bought on all the other currently available airlines.

I figure I'd give it a quick shot here, and hopefully one of the CO a.netters out there will have a clue. Does anyone have any idea how much CO fares EWR-SJU or EWR-POS usually run for the week around Christmas when they are finally released? It's incredibly frustrating to try and plan a trip when you have no idea how much the airfare will cost, and if CO is ridiculously high (which I'm anticipating), then everyone else will already be sold out...

Can't really help other than to say I checked some flights on, I think, 12/22 or 12/23 and there were a few seats already booked... I guess some people found a way to buy seats?? Maybe through a travel agent or something?

I also ran a buddy pass and a round trip seat came to $200 which is extremely high... The price is "10% of the lowest unrestricted Y fare"... So essentially the tickets are $2000 per person (based on the full Y fare) round trip...

Obviously other tickets are can be had for much cheaper, but I guess you have to wait? Sorry I couldn't be more help

Go to Ponce, Puerto Rico (PSE) is more sheaper than SJU or BQN
$ 250.00 RT EWR-PSE-EWR.

Well, thanks for the input anyway....

If anyone has access to more details, we were specifically looking at EWR-SJU or POS from 12/23 to 12/30. Peak time, I know...

I would try jet Blue if you don't have a pacific need to fly Continental. I flew to SJU on jet Blue from JFK two weeks ago and the fare was $79 each way, of course this was in March and not during the Christmas rush although it was during the spring break rush.

You obviously don't understand the pricing of buddy passes at CO.
