Topic: Televangelists And Their Aircraft Username: CitationJet Posted 2006-06-05 01:39:24 and read 16274 times. The recent crash of Pat Robertson's Lear 35 made me wonder how many other famous television evangelists own or operate their private aircraft.
http://www.nbc4.com/news/9313955/detail.html
Does anyone know which televangelists or large churches actually own jet aircraft?
Jerry Falwell operates a Citation III N71LU, as part of his Liberty University.
I had heard that Kenneth Copeland has recently purchased a Citation X. He is asking his followers to join him in "Spreading the word around the world at Mach .92". He is asking for $2,000 donations to support his EliteCX team.

Per Landings.com, Copeland's Citation X is SN 240 N1962J is registered to Eagle Mountain International Church of Newark, TX.
Eagle Mountain Church also owns the following aircraft:
Gulfstream II-SP, N104VV
Cessna 421B, N1223H

Jon Hunstman owns A GIII and a GIV. He lets Pres. Hinckley fly on the GIV. I once flew on his III a few years back for work, it was nice but sure wish I could take a look at the IV.

"As you know, Gloria and I have been believing God for a Cessna Citation X so that we can better fulfill the calling of Kenneth Copeland Ministries—to take the Word of God to the world—from the top to the bottom and all the way around."
And he is "Spreading the word around the world at Mach .92".

Looking at his trips since March, the Citation X has taken the word of God to Vancouver, Las Vegas, Chicago, Ft. Lauderdale.

Since February, his Gulfstream II-SP has traveled to Vail, Colorado to take the word to the skiers twice in March, to Shannon Ireland, and Los Angeles among others.

most, to make sure the next Gulfstream can be paid for.
Reminds me of my favorite prayer:
Oh Lord won't you buy me
A Mercedes Benz
My friends all drive Porsches
I must make amends
I wait for delivery each day until three
Oh Lord, won't you buy me
A Mercedes Benz.
If Janis would still be alive, she might have changed the lyrics to "Citation Jet". and " My Friends all fly Gulfstreams"

Actually this is what people that make a living off the church do. Don't get me wrong I'm not talking about priests I'm talking about people that are in the business of selling religion. It is surprisingly easy to get money from people in the name of god. After all giving money to the chuch one way to get rid of you sins. I know this because I have a friend that does this sort of work. He pays no taxes and gets to travel around not a bad gig. Not only does he bring money to the church but he also convinces rich believers to give him free stuff in the name of god. We've been to several cabins up in the ski resorts for free just because of him, I'm not complaining.

If these guys can make the blind see, and cure cancer, then flapping their arms and flying from their cockamamie Southern HQs to wherever should be a breeze (so to speak). |

I used to work for Korean Air and Benny Hinn and his flock of staff used to fly to Korea on us. They ONLY flew in F class and he wanted all the miles to be credited to his DL FQTV account.
The guy is a crook, big time !!
When I would go make sales calls to the travel agency, located on-site at his ministry headquarters, descretely located in Grapevine, Texas, without ANY signage WHATSOEVER on the building, I had to be escorted back to the travel agency by a security guard. Geesh !! |

Be careful, that opinion can get you told you look like a buffoon and are incapable of doing anything other than bang on a keyboard. Apparenlty a.netters are unqualified to make a judgement of whether or not that's ridiculous. (Glad I'm not the only one who does, I was starting to wonder.)

Gordon B. Hinckley is hardly the same type of Televangelist that Pat Robertson is or Kenneth Copland or Joel and Victoria Olsteen LOL!

That is what I mean about the difference between Gordon B. Hinckley and Pat "Preach for Filthy Lucre--I'm a star" Robertson.

But he does appear on TV.
Yeah not to bash anybody at all... but seriously the 2000 dollar donations could be put to much better use like helping the people who consider him a great person in third world countries. Isn't that what being a Christian or any other religion is all about? Just stating the obvious.

Perhaps 2-3 times a year. Never on national TV pandering to his crowd for more money on the collection plate. He DOES NOT GET PAID from the tithe funds of the LDS Church. Similarly the church corporation has not purchased a Lear-jet for him like Robertson's 700 Club. Jon Huntsman Sr (Jon Huntsman Jr is Governor of Utah) merely loans him one of the his personal a/c to get around more easily in as pointed out above.
