A while ago I saw something about a stop in Cabo Frio with GOL in the flight from EZE-GIG. Any news on this?

I just was searching the web and found this

"Presente à Fit América Latina, em Buenos Aires, o secretário de Turismo de Cabo Frio (RJ), Gustavo Beranger, anunciou o início da operação de vôos de Buenos Aires até o destino fluminense.

"Os vôos começarão em 16 de dezembro, fazendo a rota Buenos Aires/Galeão/Cabo Frio. Temos propostas também para o início de vôos com a Total, passando por Brasília e Belo Horizonte antes de chegar a Cabo Frio", antecipou.

Paulo Ernani, gerente Comercial da Gol para a América do Sul, informou que a empresa aguarda apenas a confirmação do Aeroporto de Cabo Frio para iniciar o trecho Galeão/Cabo Frio, já que Buenos Aires/Galeão já está no sistema."

Does this mean I could purchase only GIG-Cabo Frio portion? I hope this is ready soon since I´m going to cabo frio on the 19th of Jan. This would be the best news of the year

Hi Tony.

Yes, Gol will sell GIG-Cabo Frio service and also Cabo Frio-EZE. Cabo Frio authorities are trying to obtain a daily service with Gol, Tam or even WebJet to connect GIG and Cabo Frio.
Up to know Gol flight will run GIG-EZE during week days, and GIG-Cabo Frio-EZE on weekends.
For who don't know, Cabo Frio is just 10 miles south of Buzios.

I go to Cabo Frio about once every year. I love that place. I just read some other article that they will receive the first flight jan 15th.

Do you know when I can expect to see the flights on GOL website?
