Does anybody have any information or photos of the new cabin interiors that are to be installed on AA's 767-200 Transcon planes?

If I'm not mistaken, the upgrades to AA's Transcon 'Flagship' service are more for the soft product (ie, meals, service standards, pillows & blankets, etc) than for things like the seats. There was at one point a lot of (unsubstantiated) chatter over at Flyertalk regarding the old 767-300 First Class seats being installed on the 767-200s – however, there's really no proof to that, and it seems especially unlikely due to the fact that it would require a pretty severe reconfiguration of seating, and likely the loss of a row of Business Class seats.

Regardless, if I recall correctly what was stated in the initial press release, you should look for new seat covers (at the very least) on the seats. However, don't hold your breath for AA to install, for instance, its new Business Class seat on the 762s.

AA anounced several months back that they are going to install new First and Business class seats on the Transcon planes to compete with United P.S. They have said the are adding one F-Class seat bringing the total to 10. Other than that I have heard no other details since the announcment. I'll see it I can find the press piece for you.

I think the First Class seats are going to be a totally new design, while the business class are only going to be slightly improved. I think they are also going to install the new interior overhead bins (like on the 777 and front of 763s)...

Well, they are only spending $20 million on 15 aircraft, so it's not going to be too much more than lipstick.

Well, those 762s are getting pretty long in the tooth. I can't see them investing too much in those old birds. But, they do need to put up a fight against UA's PS.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't all 767s get the same coach seats as the MD-80s and 737s with the adjustable headrests, back in the late 90s? IMHO, those are the best domestic coach seats around
