The Vienna airport company is interested to take over 100 % of the Antalya airport.
Both airports handle similar passenger volumes (about 16 Million ) and Austria is not unfamiliar with Turkeis airports,since the latest IST airport terminal has been managed by VIE airport company.
60 % of Antalya airport passengers are from Germany and Russia.

The Turkish-Austrian firm TAV which manages IST, ESB and is building the new terminal in Cairo amongst others is the finalist bidder to manage both the domestic and international terminals at Antalya.

Formal bid acceptance by the state airport authority DHMI is planned for April 12th.

TAV's V meant Vienna only in the beginning due to the law that required an international airport handling company had to be in the consortium. VIE Airport Management was never a big role player in IST and they left long ago.

Today TAV means Tepe Akfen Venture....
