Topic: Any UAL 2-class T7 In New Paint Yet?

Does anyone have any info if any of the 2-class T7 are in the new paint scheme yet? I am taking a flight at the end of the month and just curious if I may be lucky and get one in the new paint.

Also, as a side note, whats the best way to be the first ones off the plane(sitting in F is not an option but I sure wished it was) when you have 51 mins to make a connection in ORD (the connecting flight is an express flight up to Canada). Any suggestions would be helpful.

UA does not have any of the 6 two class T7's in new paint. As a side note all of UA's 3 class 767's are in new paint and all of the 2 class 767's are in old paint making it very easy to tell from a far if a 767 is 2 or 3 class.

The best way for you to be first of the plane is to purchase an economy plus upgrade and request seat 16A as this is right next to door 2L which is where the jet-bridge will be docked.

I wonder if any of us will live long enough to see UA get this new color scheme applied to the whole fleet. I suppose they have to figure out how to make all the new paint stick to the aircraft first.

No, because by 2020, when there will be only about 15 more aircraft in the new colors... they'll introduce a whole new scheme.

I just completed my semi-annual United Livery Repainting Update - 3.5 Years:

United Livery Repainting Update - 3.5 Years (by United787 Aug 4 2007 in Civil Aviation)

It is going incredibly slow, only 2% of the fleet have been painted in the last 6 months!

however sometimes on the domestic runs, you could get a 3-class T7 if its repositioning.

True, you can see international 777s on IAD-LAX, IAD-SFO, and I've flown ORD-LAX on one.

Scheduled too. DEN gets quite a few 777's, and the only 2-cabin ones we get are the daily DEN-HNL, and one of the DEN-ORD's. The rest of the are all 3-cabin versions on scheduled routes. We typically only get the 772A's , with the 12F/49C/197Y configuration, but on a rare day they'll send us a 772ER in the 10F/45C/198Y config.
