Last night I flew in from IAD to LAX. We landed 25R and as we came in I saw a Virgin America A320 parked at the far east of the airport next to 25R. I was wondering why and how there first flight was.

Just got back from a RT on VA from LAX to SFO. This is the most awesome plane I have ever flown on, like a spaceship in a Star Wars movie. In the words of a black guy across the aisle from me "this is the tightest airplane I have ever been on." Full report with pictures tomorrow in a new thread.

I did a search but can't find anything regarding seatpitch on their website. however other places it says seat pitch will be 32 inches. More or less industry standard. Could it be that th guy across the aisle was tall? Yes I agree 32 inches isn't that much. 34 inches is way more suitable for longer flights

I didn't bring my tape measure on my VA flight today. But I can say that VA has one of the most comfortable economy class seats I have ever been in. I talk to a number of other passengers on my flight today and they all agreed. When the Captain thanked the passengers at the end of the flight for flying on the first day of regular schedule service on VA, the whole cabin broke out in applause.
