Are you sure it's an exFR and not an exNorth American 738?

It is an ex-North American Airlines a/c, indeed; this a/c is really ugly

I've seen that aircraft often here in GVA. It amazes me that after more than 5 years with LY it hasn't been repainted. It's shown in fleet info sites as leased from GECAS.

Original livery at YUL in 1999 below, ironically with LY 747 in background. LY owned 24.9% of North American until 2003. It was originally founded mainly to provide feeder services for LY in North America (e.g. LAX-JFK etc). That may possibly be what it was doing in the photo below. At one time I believe LY fed MIA passengers via YUL but I thought that was longer ago than 1999.

That is not Ryan Air, not RyanAir or anything else but Ryanair - that's RYANAIR - one word, not two. Jeez, you would think that after the million or so discussions on a.net about FR and the fact that they are now as big as they are, that people could at least get their name right. Pedantic? Not if you actually work for Ryan Air, USA, a totally different company.

I flew on that plane from FRA-TLV with LY and i must say its not one of the best 737-800. It was a bit dirty and the seats were old seats from the previous airline and not the regular economy class seats, which are used on their other 737-800's.
