Just out of curiosity

Has there ever been an in-flight meal served to you that contained an extra surprise (pieces of paper, cigarettes, styrofoam, a finger nail, etc.)?

I remember this one time on an Iberia flight I was served a salad that contain a couple of pieces of styrofoam, ( I don't know how it got in there) however the flight attendant was nice enough to replace the salad.

I actually found a bit of edible food in my airline meal recently. It was amazing, I was shocked!

Several years ago I was on a flight out of Frankfurt. We were served "wild duck" in business class. I guess the duck was a bit too wild....it still had buck shot (small metal pellets) in it.

I was on a Britannia 757 from PMI to LTN about 2 years ago and had a cockroach cooked into my bread roll. I complained to the cabin crew and to the head office at LTN but never heard anything from them.

I read that a man travelling out of a third world country on a poor airline was asked if he wanted dinner.

The FA gave him the chioce of Beef or Duck. The man replied "which would you recommend" the FA replied back. "the beef is like the duck without the flies"

Cheers
