Doesn't UPS operate one of the oldest 747s today? All of their 747s are really old and need to be retired soon, do you think UPS will replace them with an order for 744s? |

Right now UPS is concentrating on lift needed now. Thats why the MD-11 deal and the A300 deal took place. You are right. UPS does fly the oldest 747 in the air N691UP which is a vintage 1969 747-121. All these aircraft are airworthy and well maintained. UPS has added a few more 747-200's in recent months that are on long term lease. Boeing has been pushing a converted 747-300 to UPS with the MD-11 deal. This aircraft is similar to the 7473 Atlas just received. |
