So I just booked a flight on AA, return being JFK/DFW/AGU with 55 minutes in DFW. What is JFK like around 3pm? I haven't flown through JFK in years.

Shouldn't be too bad for departures at 3pm, but if you get delayed by a couple of hours or so you'll start running into the international departure push.

Got scared and booked through LGA giving me 2+ hours in DFW. Winter, delays, New York, it just usually becomes a mess. HAHA

I have been number 30+ waiting for departure are that time, and that was not even winter, over 1 hr taxi to depart.

With 55 mins you better hope there is not a sigle cloud in the sky, no wind, and JFK does not have 40 planes waiting to takeoff. Also you should look to see if there are more flights after the one your one out of DFW as a backup. GOODLUCK!

Don't worry, I already rebooked, leaving LGA much earlier giving me 2+ hours in DFW. The problem was that the flight ex DFW was the only one. So I was not ready to take chances.

Good Thinking! You know on paper 55mins should be enough time for a conx, but not anymore! Did AA charge you the normal 100 change fee, or sometime they (and will I) wave it if is wx or mechanical related.....

While that may be true LGA is smaller, so that gives me alot of confidence. But LGA is the airport I have been using for the past 5 years or so during which at one point I worked for US, so I am very used to LGA.
