Topic: CM To Opena Mini Base In MCO? Username: Luisca Posted 2008-01-15 08:53:56 and read 1542 times.CM currently serves MCO 2 times a day and PTY is their only base, but there is a letter from a CM recruiter posted on age60rule.com stating that they plan to open a mini-base at MCO this year. The letter is dated November 07.
Anybody have any info? could it be a crew base only or would it mean more flights to MCO? maybe a dedicated SJO-MCO or GUA-MCO.

MP will drop the MCO-SJO with 320 that matched the flight coming from AMS.
.
It is rather 12x weekly.

American Airlines has a crew base at Bogota, even though it's just three daily flights to Miami. Cathay has one at San Francisco. |

Thats why it sounded so weird to me, I could understand a new base being started at SJO that sees a lot of CM flights, it is practically a hub at this point, but MCO is not that big of a destination for CM, although it does have a death grip on the market and makes a killing on it.
CM should look into diversifying its flying, PTY is way to crowded and it is starting to show, last time I flew in there we were parked for 30 minutes waiting for a gate. Maybe a GUA hub will finally start this year.
