Now that American Eagle has left Bangor, will any other airlines move in? I'd imagine that it would be a good starting off point for both winter skiiers and summer beach-goers. Ideas on who'd move in? I hope B6!

It would be nice, but airlines are a whole lot better at creating voids than filling them. As long as the industry is economically challenged, this will be the fate of smaller airports like Bangor and even slightly larger ones like ours in Manchester, NH.

With as few flights a day they had I'm not so sure.....and those for the most part were 'maintenance' flights. It's not like Eagle really supported the base and its operations.

No ski resorts close by..... no beaches close by either. They don't call it the Rocky Coast of Maine for nothing.........

Plus with Big Sky leaving (or have they already left?) BGR, though I imagine Big Sky will be replaced by a Delta Connection carrier. Has that already been determined?

Yeah, Big Sky is out already. Comair has replaced them (2 daily CR1/2's replacing the 6 B1900 flights).

Beaches aren't necessary. The Maine midcoast gets very, very busy during the summer tourist season.

I think you'll see the normal summer increases again

2nd ATL
The 2nd CVG will come back
US will fly to LGA
2nd flight to EWR on COex (maybe the Q400 will be up here)
3rd DTW (maybe we'll see the CR9)

The media up here likes to say Allegiant 'replaced' Eagle.

I think Bangor used to be busier in years gone by when it was TransAtlantic stop off point for fuel, but that business seems to have all but dried up now and Gander seems to get what little business there is left.  Sad

How about a Q200 or 400 to CLE on CO?

At about 600 nm, a BGR-CLE route is probably a bit too long; but, at about 340nm, BGR-EWR is perfect for turboprops.
