Here's something from Singapore's stock market banter:

"1315 [Dow Jones] SINGAPORE: J.P. Morgan thinks Singapore Airlines (Singapore: SIAL.SI - news) (S55) will pursue share buyback program with "greater vigor" after Feb. 8, which marks 100th day after Taipei crash; bases theory on carrier's "minimal public profile" since accident, including ad suspension and restrictions on Chinese New Year celebrations. So far, SIA has bought back 923,000 shares at S$14.90-S$15.80, mostly in January. Shares up 0.6% at S$15.70 midday.(GEY)

I did wonder why SIA hadn't been in the news boasting about it's new Business Class and internet access.

I can understand why no CNy celebrations but can't understand why they have suspended adverts.

Hmmm. Maybe this is just a foggy patch. Maybe Singapore Airlines has made itself fogbound for a few months.
