This Friday I will be flying NW MDW-MSP-PHX and back next Wednesday. Yes the routing is the pits, but lets face it, who cares! I haven't been through MSP in a long time. My question is what kind of IFE does NW have on the domestic 757 fleet? I'm assuming it is the CRT monitors in the aisle like most other airlines 757 or is it different? I'm going to "borrow" the safety cards on these flights as I have a feeling those aircraft are eventually going to have a certain "widget" on the tail.

None. Make sure your iPod is charged. Or better yet, bring a good book to read.

Nope sorry NW has no IFE on any flight inside of the continental US.

IFE is state-of-the-art flat screen, and at each row. They are mounted on the wall and shows are real-time. This is also the same moving map show that you may have seen on the DC 9 fleet as well.

seats A/B/C have the flat screen monitor mounted on the walls on the left hand side of the aircraft, at generally even intervals (8"-10" apart).
Seats D/E/F have them mounted on the walls on the right hand side of the aircraft.

There may be music, depending on a/c. Otherwise, it is your choice of Pratt, Whitney, or 10 month old in 5D for you!

You'll have the best form of IFE in the industry....a window seat(get it if you can)!!

Actually, they are equipped with an IFE system, however, the system is not used on flights within the continental U.S. Delta could just re-activate the IFE system when they buy out NW.

Actaully the only 757's that have the entertainment equipment on board are -300 and Transatlantic and Interport 757's. We completely removed the system from the 5500's and a few of the domestic 5600 aircraft a long time ago.

The tv's will show something, but I wouldn't call it entertainment. Its the one and only NW safety video.
