As we know....... a 777 has been in GSO for a long time. Siting with some new seats and some old. it looks like either they finally got the correct seats or just put the old economy seats back into the plane.

I was waiting/wondering how long UA was going to let it sit. Especially since they are doing a TON of 744 charters and other stuff and the fleet it starting to be stretched thin.

Anyone have more info?

This was not a IPTE cabin refit. The 777s wont be touched until 2009.

UA9829 was a 2-class 777 (N211UA) which was in for routine work at GSO.

Actually I think it's the other way around. Given all of the routes that have switched from 744 to 777, the 777 fleet is stretched pretty thin.

The 744's and 763's will be completed faster than scheduled, while the 777's have awhile to go yet. I started a thread about this awhile back, and I think something like 7 or 8 of the 21x 3-cabin 763's have been completed, along with 4 or 5 of the 24x 744's having been completed.

I know that the 777s are getting new Y seats installed (the old ones were already nice), are the 767s and 747s getting new Y seats?

O ok I was still under the impression that the plane that was started was still there.

Exactly..... there has been a ton of 744 charters needing even more 777s to step in. I meant fleet as the entire airline.... not just the 744. My bad.
