Cool! Maybe I'll make my way over to TPA to see this rare sight. Perhaps this will give LH an idea to fly scheduled service to TPA (yeah right....)!

Not the first time LH has diverted to TPA from MCO - it did it at least once last summer also during Tstorms.

What ever happened to Condor in TPA? also there are Lufthansa signs all over the airport, saying they are on the red side. Did they actually serve TPA once or is it due to there codeshare with UA?

Codeshare with UA not quite like KL jopint venture with NWA whose signs are all over TPA.

That weather wound its way over to DAB, where it put on quite a show. We had tornado sirens going off for about half an hour.

Good question. Back in the 80's they used to bring all sorts of heavy metal into TPA. The crews would stay at the Marriott corner West Shore and Cypress. Always a lot of fun.

I think Condor stopped TPA shortly after 9/11 but I'm not entirely sure.
