I just heard about Boeing moving in Chicago..are they serious or it's just for talking? i can't beleive that, just when i was going to be set up in seattle!!! Why are they moving? that means they gonna have to spend billions of dollars on everything!

No, they are mostly focusing on Dallas at this moment. Remember, they are only moving the Headquaters.

Only HQ is moving. They're also focusing Denver as well.

i bet chicago gets it.. they can offer more tax inc's for boeing and also daley will keep open meigs field for them to use.......Daley has the clout to get boeing

They are at the front end of due-diligence for selection between the three areas (Chicago, D/FW and Denver). Each location has distinct advantages, and disadvantages, for the move.

Like others whose review focuses on the relative benefits of each location to businesses, I think Dallas has the edge, but if it was clear-cut for any of the cities, they would not have bothered with the exercise or distraction of announcing several- they would have announced the choice.

So, wait and see. But, if the issue is tax benefits, cost of living, relative buying power of a given salary dollar, Texas can easily win. And Boeing couldn't give a rats a@@ about Meigs Field.

One additional thought: Boeing already has significant operations in the D/FW area (in Corinth)... a factor?

I hope they and everybody else thinking of coming to DFW doesn't. It's only a matter of time before we have to walk or ride our bikes to work to bypass the traffic here. It wasn't always like this.
