Mokulele will join Alaska's mileage plan as a partner beginning December 15th. Mileage plan members will earn 500 miles for each segment flown on Mokulele. They will be able to start award redemption early in 2009.

Not surprising considering Bill Boyer was a former Alaska ramp agent.

Nice to see AS get a Hawaiian option for their Mileage plan.

I thought AS was going to increase ties with HA? I assume that fell through.

With this partnership, does anyone know if Mokulele flights are or will be bookable through Alaskaair.com?

I don't think so. It doesn't seem to be a codeshare agreement as much as just a mileage plan agreement. I could be wrong. But looking on the site today, I can't seem to find anything that books on Mokulele. But maybe in the future?

Code-sharing is hoped for early next year.

Actually given they are forging ties with DL, they are supposed to get into some kind of "exclusivity" deal with them (according to the DL fanboys)... stirthepot  duck

Could this be because UA and HA are now partners?

Less than a month after starting interisland jet service, Mokulele has accomplished something Mesa/go! hasn't been able to do for more than 2 years - get a codeshare/FFP tie in with a mainland carrier.

Actually, AS and HA stopped all codesharing prior to AS entering the Hawaii market. Normally, HA and the other carrier will stop codesharing on HA's transpac flights, but keep the interisland codeshare. There was some talk that AS wasn't too happy about something with the codeshare with HA.
