Have you seen the airbus advertisement with the A340 and the Business class Configuration??

There is a Man and lady and she is having a hard day, she is all cluttered but when she enters the airbus A340 Cabin in Business class she suddenly feels not cluttered because there is only 2 seats in Business class. No middle seats!!

I think this ad is rediculous. It is just a Joke. When i saw it i cracked up laughing.

My Quirey is, isn't up to the Airline to determine configuration on board Aircrafts??

It is up to the airline to configure the aircraft, but there is a point. The cabin width of the A340 is conductive to six across seating in biz class as opposed to the usual 7 across in the 777.

Of course, the airline could have 3 abreast seating in business class...but we're talking about standard configurations here.

Hey, the 737 and A320 classes are even roomier - there are no middle seats at all

I think this ad pretty much reflects what you feel when you fly the A330/340 in C class.

But most A340s do have 2-2-2 in B class. It is more comfortable than C class in a DC10

Yea, I don't get this marketing tactic either. If that is the case, then first class on the A330/340 is the same as business class. (six accross in standard configuration) Airbus should market thier standard configuration like the 767. Six accross in business, and five accross in first. That would be sweet.

Started wondering about this after reading the topic on the Airbus advertisement regarding thier business class seating.

Does anyone know if there are any Airbus aircraft with the "pod" seating in first class? I know long range 747's & 777's have them. Boeing has even started marketing 767's with them. When will airlines/Airbus start introducing these seats?
