So YNG will need a new Airport Director. I have no idea why the current one is resigning, but I am fairly confident it is because he has received a new job.
Can anyone turn YNG around?
All we have is Allegiant 2x to SFB, with very high load factors, above the Allegiant Air system average. |

How small a market would a current airport director have to come from to move horizontally to YNG. I am not slamming YNG however if I remember correctly the new TOL airport director came from SPI and then went on to LEX. With the vacancy at YNG could a graduate in airport administration slide into that job .........................?

Well the time is now because the news of this has hit the paper. I think they should elevate Don Hanni III who is mentioned in the article below to become the new Airport Director then the task at hand will be done and the airport can move forward right away.

I've been eagerly awaiting a YNG-PIE announcement but it's been a couple years now and nothing. |

Great question I have attempted to get answer. This is what I was being told.
1. Yields: Although the load factors are above the Allegiant average, the yields are at, or slightly below, the Allegiant Average each month. Why? They have to keep them low to beat out low fares at CLE-PIT-CAK.
2. Hesitance from Allegiant: Allegiant had planned on expanding flights to SFB this summer and fall, but after demand wasn't there for a 3rd-4th flight, they decided to stick with just 2.
The last thing I had heard was Allegiant had changed their mind and are once again considering a new destination, likely PIE.
