If I'm not mistaken LH used to fly MUC-DTM which Germanwings now does, but why did they gave up this route? Wasn't there demand to fill the 50 seats on the ATRs? Can anybody provide the schedule they used to fly and information if they ever served FRA-DTM???

and can anybody tell me why they park the aircrafts with the back facing the terminal and not the cockpit???

Simple:
Dortmund is a dump. After everybody who was willing and able to leave had left for good there was no need for further non-charter airservices.

The terminal is too ugly to be looked at by the pilots.

As a native Dortmunder I'm entitled to this opinion

DTM-FRA was served by Eurowings with ATR 42s and ATR72s several times a day. I flew this route more than 10 times each way.

I wouldn't call Dortmund a dump. The problem that DTM airport has, is that it is not very well connected to the public transport system. The nearest train station is "Holzwickede", you have to take a shuttle bus to/from there to the airport and this shuttle bus is with costs (I believe 1.50 EUR per way). The shuttle bus to Dortmund main station is even more expensive and takes even longer. I live not far away from DTM but it would take me at least 1.5 hours to get there by public transport, DUS is far easier and quicker to reach by train despite it is further away from here.

Another problem are the - nowadays - high parking fees. In the past was it pretty cheap to park your car for a few days or weeks at DTM but nowadays is it nearly as expensive as at all other airports.

I flew this route frequently between January 2001 and May 2003.

I found an old Eurowings timetable from the summer of 2002, here is the schedule of the DTM-FRA flights:

1234567 06:35-07:35 EW7129 ATR
1--4--- 10:10-11:10 EW7127 ATR
-23-567 10:20-11:20 EW7127 ATR
12-4567 14:30-15:25 EW7123 ATR
--3---- 15:00-15:55 EW7123 ATR
1234567 18:35-19:30 EW7125 ATR

Later all the EW flight numbers dissapeared, the flights had only LH flight numbers then.
