I'm new to the whole airline/wi-fi world. I'm looking at taking an Airtran flight to CLT via MDW/ATL. My question is if I purchase the wi-fi on the MDW-ATL flight, do I have to buy a new session for the ATL-CLT flight? I may not use it since the ATL-CLT flight will not be very long, but it would be nice to continue without paying for another session.

You could purchase it either way. Here's the link you're looking for:

Be aware though, most of the ac do not have power supply at the seats. Jetblue has plugs.....only in the lavatories though, and that would be odd to walk up to the rear for an hour or two to charge your computer.

Keep a well charged battery (find a good place to settle at the airport after landing) and charge when you can unless you have a laptop with a long energy supply.

I would buy it online just like FL787 is saying! Unless FL has another promotion that is going on where they have a sponsor pay for it like they did last month (OPEN by American Express paid for it). Check out their website before buying though. You can also check the gogo site for passes and free trial offers like I did!

GoGo has several options for WiFi. Your best option for one trip with two legs would be the 24 hour pass which is $12.95. I am a GoGo user who flies almost daily, and I have the monthly subscription. Don't do the $29.95 30 day pass as it is only valid on ONE airline.

And just FYI - soon Alaska and US Airways will have WiFi onboard too

As will Southwest.
