does anyone know where Universal Airlines based it's Cabin Crew for the DC-8 services in the 1960s? I've not been able to find any information about any of them, not even uniforms?

I can tell you that they did have a substatial Vietnam War operation during this period. Growing up back in Philly, their DC-8's were always at PHL and McGuire AFB operating MAC charters heading overseas to Europe. I would assume that the same thing went on from both Oakland and Travis from the west coast doing the transpacs. I would also assume that crews were more than likely based in these areas to serve these flights.
