On another thread, an AS employee talked about AA personel offereing condolescences at AS stations after AS 261 went down. I would like to hear other stories of this nature.  

Somewhere I have a newspaper ad from UA offering 'moral support' to the men and women of USAir after their string of issues in the mid-1990's......I have to go looking.

After the Colgan crash near BUF, my airline had a little thing on our employee website asking us to keep the victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers and to be mindful/respectful when giving out condolences to any CO/Colgan employees we may have had onboard.

I was actually working the flight that brought one of the crewmembers back home to their family. The station handle all the arrangements. Plane got a canon salute as we pulled into the gate. Continental and Colgan employees lined the ramp as the casket was removed from the cargo hold. It was a very touching experience. The entire crew had tears in their eyes. At the end of the day we are all in the same business and this tragedy could happen to any of us.
