Some people might think this is a stupid post, but I honestly don't care.. Last night (Monday) around 8:45pm I saw an L1011 on approach to DAL.. I thought it was kind of cool because there aren't any L1011's to DFW anymore.. I know it's privately owned because I saw it at Love like 2 years ago... Any clue as to its schedule or anything?

I know that the FAA has a couple of L-10-11 that they use for research I dont know if they are flying or not.

I saw an unknown L1011 on Sunday around 6:15pm.I was going to the airport from highway 360,it was all white.Also ATA still operates a L1011 out of DFW.

at least I think that ATA still operates a L1011 out of DFW.

I think there are still 17 in the fleet but I could be off by a few due to retirements.

It is 17 still on the books, with any more due to go for some time. No more will go this year.

I heard a while back from a friend at the Dallas Morning News that the Sultan of Brunei had parked his L1011 @ DAL and was trying to sell it. I don't know if this is true or not though.

AA7771stClass- The Sultan did park his L1011 at DAL, but I heard he refused to make the payments on it. It looks nice on the outside, wish I could see the inside.
