For those of you out there who have recently flown first class on AA, how is their new Premium duvet product? Is it much better, or any better, than what they offered before? I flew ORD-PVG-ORD last October and was not really impressed with the difference between what their first class product offered in comparison to their business class product (Don't get me wrong, both were great compared to sitting in coach for a 14 hour flight!). Sure, you got a bigger seat and a lie flat bed but other than that I didn't notice much of a difference. So when AA came out with this new "Premium Duvet" I thought it was a good move on their part to differentiate the two and make first that much more enjoyable than business.

current consensus is that combined with the polyester PJs (not cotton), it makes for an "overheating" experience, due to the thick nature of the duvet.

The new duvet is actually lighter in weight and thinner than the previous duvet, but provides the same amount of warmth. Both First and Business have the new duvet, while First will be further differentiated with turn down service, light day blanket and pajamas. The turn down service features a quilted bed topper for the Flagship Suite.
