Qantas yesterday released 1200 tickets for viewings to their staff, with more to come a 2pm today. The first round was snapped up in 15 minutes, and staff are able to book one ticket for a half hour timeslot through the day.
Would be a massive shame if Qantas is just treating their staff to the opportunity to see this aircraft up close...

It had been reported in local papers a couple of weeks ago.
It is not a tour for the public, it is to show to Boeings customers and they are in turn showing their staff, same as when the 380 came down and when the manufacturers have done previous demo tours.

Yes, but Qantas has said that they want to show this plane off to the public as well in past reports... I seem to remember their spokesperson talking about arranging open days and such...
