Apparently Iraq has banned Turkish airline companies from its airports (Atlas, Pegasus, TK, Onur operate to Iraq) in response to Turkish courts ordering the seizure of Iraqi aircraft as a result of Iraqi oil company debt to Turkey.

I'd say this is shooting yourself in the foot for Iraq; Turkish airline companies have basically covered the entire market and provide great connections to Europe and the rest of the world. Of course both sides will be losers in this case. I hope this ban is reversad as soon as possible.

Tit for tat! This will benefit the other airlines who serve Iraq- and there are a few now including the national carrier that
has its own direct services into Istanbul.
Who knows what the future holds?

And everything is back to normal I was thinking that it would have been a shame for TK to lose Iraq services since it is one of their specialty as a major airline to have connection to such places.
