Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: SIA fan Posted 2001-08-01 16:54:05 and read 2731 times. QantasA3XX, will they be using 9V-SVB instead of the SVA?
Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: JumboClassic Posted 2001-08-01 17:02:55 and read 2721 times. Sorry to spoil your fun boys, but all SQ 772s are ER. I think it was previously discussed that their MTOW was only paper-reduced, i.e. the A/C are true ER.
Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: QantasA3XX Posted 2001-08-01 17:31:18 and read 2699 times. Sorry to disappoint you Classicjumbo , SQ SR and SQ series are partially ERs ( they are not real ERS ) the SV series are the real ERS !! I have a friends working for SQ
Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: Singapore 777 Posted 2001-08-01 17:36:52 and read 2692 times. Does anyone happen to know which flight 9V-SVA will be doing or will it just be lying around?

Topic: I Just Saw -SVC At The Factory Username: Navion Posted 2001-08-03 01:22:25 and read 2513 times. I just saw 9V-SVC on the Boeing Everett flightline this past Monday. I'm glad I now understand the different registration.

Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: Modesto2 Posted 2001-08-03 16:24:48 and read 2460 times. Why does SQ operate THREE different 777's?
Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: JumboClassic Posted 2001-08-03 16:56:50 and read 2447 times. There seems to be some confusion around the 777 types that SQ operates. Bill Harms' web site specifies all SQ 777 as ER model. You can check on:
Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: Phileo Posted 2001-08-03 17:18:40 and read 2441 times. I though the seating configurations is 30J and 293Y (from SQ website) , how come it's 28J and 255Y as claimed by Jubilee777?
Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: Singapore 777 Posted 2001-08-03 18:03:56 and read 2439 times. With this additional SV series, SQ will have 3 777 configs: 12P 42J 234Y is the SQ-series, 30J 293Y is the SR-series and 30J 255Y is the new SV-series. My guess is that the SR and SV series will be replacing the A340-300s in time to come. According to various sources, SQ will be refitting the rest of the fleet with the new 18.5-inches wide seats and 33-inches legroom. I certainly hope they do it soon before I travel with them at the end of the year.

Topic: RE: SQ Boeing 777-200ER First Flight Username: B-HOP Posted 2001-08-03 21:52:32 and read 2415 times. paper reduced MTOW reduces landing fees, just like what BA did with couple of their 744
Topic: Mr BA Username: Navion Posted 2001-08-03 22:22:40 and read 2414 times. I don't know when -SVC will be delivered, but in the 4 days I checked out the flightline, 2 of the 9 or 10 aircraft there left on delivery including an American 777 and Lan Chile's new 767-300ER Freighter. I think once they make it to the flightlline (after being painted), it's only a few days and then they're gone. For what it's worth, also on the flightline were a Cargolux 744F (LX-SVC), JAL 744 (don't remember the reg), a CX 744F (B-HUP), DAL 763ER, Saudia 777ER, Korean 777ER, ATA 753!!! which was built in Renton but for some reason was on the flightline at Everett, and of course the SQ 777ER and the American 777ER. I also saw a new 752ER partially painted which looked like the BA scheme. Hope this helps.

Topic: Correction Username: Navion Posted 2001-08-04 16:58:06 and read 2354 times. I need to correct the registration number I gave for the newest Cargolux 747-4R7F I saw on the Boeing flightline this past Monday 7/30/01. The registration was LX-SCV (I transposed the earlier numbers).
