Does DL operate any of their 747-400s on domestic routings? If so, what are the city pairs they fly between?

No not often but you may sometimes get lucky like if they were repostioning a charter flight or a schedule change etc... The last time I know they used a 747 domestic was in November 2011 on the ATL-LAX-ATL run.

If you want a DL heavy on a domestic flight it is just easy to go on the 777, but if you want to fly the 747 I suggest flying to somewhere like NRT.

Right after the the merger (maybe after NW & DL were on a single OC?), they used 744's on the ATL-HNL route for a bit. Never got to try it out. Now they're doing that route with an A330.

They don't regularly operate the 744 on any domestic routes currently. Your best bet would be to look for one-off flights that go along with the transition between schedules. For example, when MSP-NRT switched from 744 to 772, there was a one-time domestic 744 flight out of MSP (I think to DTW, but may have been ATL) to reposition the 744.

All of their prices are a bit over the top. I priced a flight PIT-MCO flying in 3 months' time, DL's only offering was $3200 in Y with 2 connections.  Wow!  Wow!
LX is a bit high, but at least you get what you pay for!

I wonder......I just pulled up a one way fare, PIT-MCO, in May for about $165.00...................that's with one connection, thru ATL.

Closest thing to a domestic route they do is NRT-TPE/MNL, and NGO-MNL. Not domestic but they are the shortest sectors they seem to do.
