Passing the time I rode past the airport and saw a lone B757F for FX. I'm trying to figure what route they would use it on. Perhaps ANC-SEA or ANC-HNL? Last week same day (Sunday) I saw 5 FX T7's parked at the ramp. Maybe somebody can shed some light on the subject.

It is being ferried back from Singapore Cargo conversion.

That should be N957FD on its way to its new home.

I wonder what happened to Fed Ex bypassing ANC with the 777? Wasn't that the point of purchasing them?

FX still has a sizable fleet of MD-11s that can't make the trip from China to their midwest hubs without a refueling stop in ANC.

ANC is a big transload point for FX. It's staffed like a hub even though the market doesn't generate more than the normal amount of freight. So yeah even though the 777 can bypass it, doesn't mean it always will.
