Hi,

Has anyone experienced flying long flights from Europe to Cairo onboard EgyptAir? How is their service, and how are their seats? Does anyone know the seatpitch, and have a seatmap available? Any info would be apprieciated.

www.seatguru.com should have seatmaps and pitch information for EgyptAir - depends on aircraft you are flying, obviously

"long" flight is a bit of a relative term....from Europe to Cairo you're looking at 4-5 hours maximum, which isn't too bad (and perfectly survivable even on the likes of Easyjet etc

hmmm - OK seatguru has no information for Egyptair; would imagine on the 738 it's a pretty standard 31-33 pitch

Seatguru does not have seatmaps for EgyptAir unfortunately.

I am a large Viking (almost 2 meters tall), and like to pay extra for emergency rows or rows with extra legroom.  

I have flown on EgyptAir's 737-800s quite a lot and they are pretty much like most other 738s. The seats are fine, the legroom is not too bad (I am 1,83m) and the service can be rather indifferent, but not horrible. Full meal service on every flight. They don't have PTVs, only overhead LCDs with a safety video that seems to goes on forever!  

Service is good, and planes are ok, however i don´t like to go in the emergency exit because they have fix armrest so in casa you are alone or only 2 in the row you can enjoy that...

yes man.... many times they take off with the safety demo still showing.... I like the music they have...

I am flying on their 333 CDG-CAI.. I'd catch a 333, if you can.
Also I got a great fare business class CDG-CAI-NRT. Perhaps it might be worth the investment for a little extra space?? It was not even twice the economy fare (which was not much)

Can confirm what has been reported above. I flew FRA - CAI twice on an Egyptair B 737-800.

And don't get scared when they start to play the prayer. It was quit loud and with a lot of echo (to imitate the sound within a mosque, I think).

It's also a dry airline (no alcohol) but their meals are quite good. A bit messy procedures sometimes, with people standing up putting stuff in and out of the lockers while the aircraft is taxiing to the runway and the crew doesn't really care.
The seats were ok, reasonable comfortable and enough seatpitch.

What about their A320's? I know they are much older than the 738s. I will be flying from NBO-CAI on the A320 in a few months...with a wonderful take off time of 4:30 am!
