Came across this little 10mins. video of the delivery flight of Lufthansa's latest fleet addition, the Boeing 747-800 intercontinental. It's in German only, but gives some pretty interesting insights.

I like the landing sequence at the beginning.

I am looking forward to our LH416 inaugural commercial flight of 1 June. I hope Lufthansa will celebrate their new Big Bee in style. Apparently the booking on that flight is slow, which is quite strange. Going to my reservation and the seating map there are still a lot of seats available in whY class on LH416 FRA-IAD inaugural. I have not checked Business. F is Fulll (with VIPs and guests).

They look like it, but they are not. I was sitting in that seat and I am tall and big    and I fit in there, lie flat and sitting and relaxing.

I liked that seat a lot.

I bet it was. Your job takes you to all the high places.

I hope Lufthansa will have an equally superb and fun party for us paying folks on the 747-8i inaugural commercial flight June 1. Maybe you can come and join in on the ground, maybe in the air? It will not cost you much I think!
