No they were retired not long after the merger. I don't believe they ever saw the DL Livery. I think the tail of one was cut into little pieces and give to former NWA employees as a way to remember NWA.

Only one went to Baltia: N623US, which is now N706BL. Baltia's other plane is from PIA, N705BL.

I've seen the 706 in Baltia c/s at VCV in Sep 2011, the 705 in basic PIA c/s I've seen leaving MZJ in 2010.
If they ever will start flying ... don't know, I won't put my money on that bet

My timelines may be off, but I'm pretty sure both were still flying around after we received those pieces?

Correct on the first two counts. They were retired in late 2009 if I remember right.
But the one that was cut up for the employee mementos was N622US, which was retired in 2003.
