How do you like NWA's in-flight service, on-time performance, etc.? Also, how do you like their current fleet and their fleet plans for the future?

I'm going on vacation in Nov. on Northwest that's why I'm asking.

The best on-time performance in the U.S. Not much in the way of in-flight entertainment. They have a very good and unique fleet. What city are you flying to?

Thats a easy question to answer.

I hate them, their service is rock bottom, the food is OK, on-time is....OK. However with the amount of old 742's flying to Hong Kong I will not be flying them again for a long time..

I've only had good experiences on them. Only late once and we made that up in flight. Attendants have always been friendly, service is consistent and never any problems. The fleet is well kept and in good shape. I really can't think of anything to put them down on.

I enjoyed NWA last time I flew with them. The aircraft, from a DC-9, 757, and DC-10 were all well kept and clean. All flights were on time except one because of weather and the agents were very accomodating when it came to getting a new flight. Hope you have a good trip!

I have just flown NWA. I have not come across an airline that is worse. It makes DL look like SQ.

Northwest ist the biggest crap ever.
The flight was AMS-DTW on a 747-400.

My last few trips on Northwest have been very nice. They are one of my favorites. They're ontime, have clean planes and for the most part have nice employees. They also let you check-in on the internet. Its really nice not ever having to stand in line, especially as the holidays roll around. Have a nice trip.

I live about 10 min from MSP, and they fly over my house all the time. The only noisy planes are the 747s, 727s, DC-9s, and DC-10s. Minnesotans really like their NWA, but for me, I've moved here from FL and NJ, and I still haven't been on NWA, I've been here for at least 5 years!! But from what I heard, lots of people think that NWA is a great airline, with great service. Remember, that's what I HEARD!

I like NWA. They have always been happy to let me take a look around the cockpit once at the gate, and they have never been more than 10 minutes late for me. Once, we left ontime and we were a half hour early, too. The planes are some of my favorites (Wish those DC-10's were L-1011's though.) Have a good trip!

They're alright. Always on time, fairly comfortable seats(But not on the 757---terrible), friendly crew, but unimpressive service and mediocre food(Except for the excellent breakfast).

Personally, I think NW is an overpriced bus with wings. The FA's were rather unplesant and quite unhappy. The food was...well airplane food. Although the breakfast wasn't bad. The seats were rather tight on the A320, and the DC-10. Not to mention the sky high prices! My NW expirience took me on a 3.45 and a 3.30min. flight. The service was sloooooooow! (I understand this on a D10) and there was just ONE drink service. That was suprising to me! I will say that the cockpit crew were some of the friendliest, nicest people I've talked to. The agents were incredibly friendly to me in Minneapolis! I asked several questions regarding upgrading (I'm an AS MVP--soon to be gold) and the weather situation and so on. The information was accurate (!!!!) and pretty helpful.

I agree that after flying NW, Delta looks like SQ!!!!

Northwest has brought back IFE on long-haul domestic DC-10 flights such as DTW-LAX but they need PTVs.

i must agree that service on NWA is pretty bad. but i sure hope that as they add new planes and move to the new terminal in DTW that they will improve and their reputation for having crappy service will be a thing of the past.

I just ended yet another trip with NWA. LAX-MEM-GPT. Excellent. The F/A gave me two meals, and brought left over Ice Cream Bars from F/C to give to the kids. They handed me one also. The crews were great. All you can drink. Delta never does this. They have CRAP service in Coach. Lemonade, Water, or Coffee. While NWA always offers full beverage services. The planes are cleaner too, at NWA.

I have flown them a few times and I would have to call them "Average". I was very dissapointed when I flew business class from MSP to Hong Kong. It still seemed to have the service of a coach domestic route.
