|Topic: Low Cost Fares To Spain - Not So?|

I regularly travel from EMA to ALC and/or MJV for business. This year, the fares have been far higher than last year (almost double at present with FR).
The winter schedule from EMA has been decimated and I will have to likely travel to one of the London airports in order to satisfy my requirements.
Is the increase due to lack of competition since the demise of WW? Is the lack of winter flights due to the ongoing row between FR and AENA, and the cautious approach by ZB to their route development from EMA?
Even alternatives from BHX and MAN are decidedly thin this year.
