So it seems that PW has also mastered the art of CFRP shaped blades.

I wish someone were standing next to it to give some scale.

- expected first test runs next month
- first test flight on a 747SP testbed in the second quarter of 2013
- a total of 8 test engines over the next 24 months are scheduled
- get the engine certificated in the third quarter of 2014
- first test flight on a A320neo some weeks after the certification
- EIS October 2015

Didn't expect to see anything from the NEO being manufactured beside the winglets for a while.

Cool to see it all starting up already.

Is it my imagination or do those blades look very thick a lot thicker then other engine types. I could be wrong but i always noticed them to be a lot thinner and tapered at the front
