So I was just looking at some birds eye shots, of this home I saw online for sale I was interested in owning well dreaming of owning then I plot the address to get a birds eye view then I see this Delta Airlines jet in the birds eye photo? I think this is the only time I ever saw this, is there more birds eye like this floating around that I don't know about or is this the only one , pretty cool funny I must say.

I work on the Bing maps project. We are currently gathering imagery like this (planes caught in the air) and depending on the quality and how many we collect, there may be a showcasing of the best of the best on the Bing Maps Facebook page. There were a lot of aircraft captured inflight in our Global Ortho program, especially around DFW, LHR, and FRA.

I am also surprised no one has caught what I will just say is an anomaly with an aircraft on the ramp at CDG.

I'm sure you'll circle back on this topic and let us know what the "anomaly" is once a few people have made some guesses!

Would that be the AY A319 that disappears when you zoom in on it on the north side of CDG2?

That happens a lot with Bing maps. You zoom in and sometimes it changes maps. If you look at DCA you will see an NK a319 that is at the gate but if you zoom out it is being pushed back.

On a side note, that is one nice house! I'm planning on (dreaming of) putting a pool/hot tub combo like that in my house when (if) I can ever afford to build my own home! And the landing heavies right over doesn't hurt, either!

No. That is caused by the imagery between different levels of zoom having a different acquisition date.

Could you possibly give us a hint as to the whereabouts of the aircraft with the anomaly? I just searched the whole CDG ramp and couldn't see anything unusual.

It's probably two planes overlapping each other. I saw one of T5 at ORD that's a mash-up of a KL 744 and JL 777.

The closest thing I could to weirdness was the half of a 747 or runway 8L about 1/3 of the way down. The only way you could see it was to zoom in to just before the bird's eye level and rotate left 90 degrees. Also there was an all white B737 at Terminal 2... But I think I missed 'the anomaly' as well.

You see different planes when you rotate it. This could be difficult...

It involves an Air France aircraft on the ramp that I thought was in a location that should not see Air France movements. I now notice (which I didn't notice before just now) that there are Air France aircraft in remote parking area in the area of the "anomaly", probably making it too hard to spot.

Here's a hint. Take a close look at the Air France A330 taxiing out of the ramp just south of Terminal 2A.

I think its a 777 not an a330 but you zoom in more it vanishes and CO and American appear just south of it?

B777 it is. Sorry about that! If you zoom in and the aircraft disappears, then you have zoomed in too far (you hit a zoom level that uses different imagery for that location).

It in original imagery, there was an American Airlines B757 in this spot. When individual images were mosiacked together, the AA B757 was cut in half. The pavement was a bit too complicated for the operator to clone over the remaining AA 757, so I had them copy the AF 777 parked at the satellite terminal part of Terminal 2 onto this spot. That required the removal of two jet bridges and catering trucks. You can see evidence of this by the damaged Air France titles on the fuselage and the shadow the aircraft is casting. I thought this was in an area that Air France aircraft normally wouldn't be found, so it would be very noticeable. I guess not though as I zoom to different levels revealing imagery from different acquisition dates that have plenty of Air France aircraft in this area.

Another point of interest is ATL - at one certain zoom level, it appears that multiple aircraft are lining up on both 9L and 27R at the same time. I feel like I'm watching a train wreck in slow motion...

Quoting Brick (Reply 11):

Also, there is a UA 777 taxiing near the satellite terminals, that, if you zoom in, turns into an EY a332! It's a good way to compare the a330 and the T7, though!
