|Topic: EK Plans At GLA Commonwealth Games|

It has been announced today that EK will be the official airline of the 2014 Commonwealth Games to be held in Glasgow.
Earlier this year EK went double-daily to GLA and were also announced as the principle games sponsor, with many of the events taking place in the 'Emirates Arena'.
IIRC GLA can't handle the A380 but the second daily A343 is to be upgraded to a 3-class 773ER at the end of the year (with the same type already on the first daily). Will we see any other response from EK in light of the sponsorship?

Maybe they can also send once the A380 to do some kind of media presentation, something like they did in BHX.
If it´s only once they can park the plane in a remote stand where the press can take very nice pics of some delegations going down the plane and they will have some free time in all the Tv´s and newspapers in the area for sure.

Sooner than later they will do because the A343 will leave the fleet soon and the B773ER will be flying almost everywhere. Where I live we see the A345 but i´m sure soon it will be B773ER as well.
