SmartWings new Prague-Miami service is now loaded into GDS. It will begin on 19 December, operating twice a week. SmartWings will use a 737-800 configured with 18 seats in C and 150 in Y, as opposed to SmartWings' typical all 189Y configuration.

QS 1250 PRG 1200-1520 TER 1610-2000 MIA WeSu 738
QS 1251 MIA 2200-0710+1 TER 0825-1545+1 PRG WeSu 738

Similar in execution to Sun Country's former Minneapolis-Gander-London flights.

Not feeling the love for those business recliners. Who is this flight targeted at? PRG - MIA seems like long stint in a 738. Any AVOD or entertainment?

Czech vacationers. Miami is popular with Czechs, and increasingly so ever since the visa restrictions were removed for Czechs travelling to the U.S.

No doubt the majority of tickets are being sold via travel companies on packages, not GDS.

TER-MIA is 3,200 miles, isn't that kind of pushing the range?

It is. And tt's one mile longer than DY's OSL-DXB, which IIRC is the longest 'regular' (non-BBJ) scheduled 738 flight.

I think Norwegian's weekly non-stop TOS-LPA is slightly longer.

They are all within 4 miles of each other in length.

What TOS-LPA and OSL-DXB don't have is the transatlantic winds.

It will be fun to see how many times this flight diverts or is under weight penalty.

Nope. Per the Great Circle Mapper, TER-MIA is 3193, OSL-DXB is 3194. TOS-LPA may be third longest flight.

Tiny correction, it is actually 186Y (galley is present, as opposed to f.e. FR)

Prices are not anything special either btw.

This is such a typical QS, but they will earn their money very well. It will be sold via the travel agents who bullshit people with being it a "flight you dont need to change planes at". That is true, but you will get more than 14 hrs in a single aisle with stopver at Azores for like 900 USD. Moreover, they market it as "suitable to families with children because of no need to transfer". The toddlers will be moved to the bin I guess  No thanks... But Czech tourists are used to such standards, they've been in BKK (via MCT) and FOR (via Azores as well) on board this 738

Any word on who their ground handler(s) at MIA will be? I'm hoping this is another contract that goes to Swissport.
