Airbus A319 -131 1118 G-EUPC British Airways in svc 16nov12 LHR-LIN vv after paint into standard cs

Would seem that the firefly scheme has now gone   what a shame. Only saw her once in person at LHR from a distance and thought it was possibly the best (Bad the new TOM Livery) I've seen in a LONG while.

If so I never managed to get a decent photo of it. Saw her several times at LHR but always from the window of an aircraft taxiing to take off. As expected, results were mostly poor to reasonable due to lack of sun, drizzle, etc.

I used to love calling her "Firefly" almost as good as the call sign "Speedbird 2012"

Shame that livery's gone. It stood out from the crowd well. Managed to see her in LIN, LHR and EDI - sadly didn't get a ride though.

That's pretty sad news. I even wrote to BA suggesting they keep the colours as a tribute to all the Team GB athletes that won gold in 2012.

Indeed a great pity! Happy I got a ride on her at least even if it was only to MAN!

Olympics are over and the sponsorship is now over. BA staff in uniform have been told to remove their Olympic / BA pins form their unifrorms.

Shame to see it go, as a tribute to all the Team GB golds. However with some tweeks it would look cool as the new livery for IB. change the tail colours to red and yellow from BAs red and blue. Paint the engines red. Obviously change british airways fuselage titles to Iberia. The speedbird could be painted red onto the yellow background. Perfect way to blend the colours of Spain's flag in my dream world. Would be a cool livery bringing the BA & IB liveries closer under the IAG brand. Won't happen though.
