Just read this article, and it's title was just as confusing at first as I'm sure the title of this post.

I think it is going a little far to share employees' contact info, considering there will always be unhappy customers at any company.

This site has existed for 15 years? What could United possibly have done to this guy to make him this upset, to run a site like this for more than a decade?! Especially since United has gone through several transformations since then, it is hardly the same company.

Perhaps United hired something like reputation.com to improve perceptions in what the NY Times this morning called online criticism of the airline "particularly bitter".

For United, Big Problems at Biggest Airline

Is @FakeUnitedJeff at risk next?

That's probably the problem. UA CEO Jeff Smisek was once CO's legal counsel before he rose up the ranks at CO and now UA.

You think they listen to SiriusXM too?

Untied has been around as long as the internet, practically. UAL is just NOW getting around to noticing them? Strikes me as a dick move spurred on by a lousy CEO who should be focusing elsewhere and, once again, isn't.

Well as of 1730 this afternoon, the website is suspended.

Pretty lame considering it's been around for almost a decade.

Longer. The first capture in the Internet Archive is dated May 1998, more than 14 years ago.

Wow, that brings back memories!!

Hey UA, give us less to complain about and sites like that will go away. This move stinks of a cover-up.
